"Braving the windy weather, Lauren Conrad was seen out and about in New York City on Tuesday (October 16).

The "Hills" star looked chic in a cream-colored overcoat and flesh-toned heels while she carried a matching Chanel purse.

Recently, the former reality star talked to Allure magazine about how much of the show was actually real.

The 26-year-old fashion designer explains, "I think the story they told wasn't a dishonest one. The way they did it sometimes was. They aren't going to be there for everything. Sometimes two of their main characters will get into a fight, and that's important to the story line. The [producers] need that reenacted.""
